Instagram LogoThis morning's devotional, along with my reading yesterday, really brought out some powerful thoughts. I have been to churches that preach grace and forgiveness, but when there is a specific sin they are quick to assign God's judgement to "those people". We all have a tendency to pervert the scripture in our favor though don't we? Have you ever heard "Christians" speak about being saved and those who are "not saved"? Have you ever heard those same "Christians". Those who are saved are "in" the club going to heaven but those who aren't saved are "out" when it comes to the "get to heaven club". Have you ever heard those same "Christians" share their testimony on how they were the 'biggest sinner of fall but "by the grace of God they were saved by Jesus death on the cross? So which is it? Is Jesus death enough to save everyone or not? I believe it was, so what we now must do is truly believe that, believe God loves us that much, and live like we believe it. Here is one final thing for you to consider... Have you ever noticed how the same folks who are quick to decide who is "in" and who is "out" always happen to be part of the group that is "in?" If someone today gave their life to save yours I bet you would spend the rest of your days Telling people the story of this selfless loving hero who gave you the gift of your life. I bet-you would tell people how grateful you are...and how you're even more grateful because You didn't even know this stranger before they gave up everything for you. Well guess what? Jesus gave it all to rescue us. gave his own life on the cross so we could live free. Are you out there telling people how grateful you are for what he has done?
