So many Christians focus on whether or not people are “saved” but why? Did Christ not die because it is God’s will that none should perish? When asked “what is the greatest commandment?” Was Jesus response: ‘go decide who is saved and who isn’t? Make your mission to ‘save people’? No...His response was: “Love God with everything you have and love others as yourself.” So if you are a follower of Jesus please know this, your life’s mission isn’t to try and do what Jesus already did on the cross...only He can save, and that work has been done. Our work is to share His love, His teaching, His Way to live through love...even and especially when that feels hard because our own lives are hard. Because God first loved you enough to reconcile you to Him through the death of our Lord Jesus, make your life an example of showing that love to others. Love you all, have a Sunday filled with God’s peace! “So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.
