The 10 best SendFox alternatives in 2026

Quick answer

The best SendFox alternative is Kit if you want to grow through other newsletters' recommendations and can pay $89 a month at 5,000 subscribers. Pick MailerLite if you want a website builder and more integrations, beehiiv if you want to sell ads, and ActiveCampaign if you need a CRM. If you only need a weekly newsletter, SendFox still costs less than every monthly plan here: $29 once for 5,000 contacts.

Most people who leave SendFox aren't unhappy with it. They've hit something it doesn't do. They need a CRM, they want to sell ads, they want more integrations, or they've used up the $29 send pool and would rather pay monthly. I make SendFox, so read this knowing that. Each card below says what that tool does better than us, what it costs, and shows its pricing page as we saw it.

Before you switch: what SendFox does today

If you read another list before this one, it may have called SendFox a $49 lifetime deal with an $18 a month add-on. That's an old plan. Here's what you get today, with the same good and bad list every other tool gets.

SendFox The one you have

Best for: a weekly newsletter on a small budget
Price
Free to 1,000 contacts. $29 once for 5,000. Pro from $19/month.
Moves
Imports from Mailchimp, Kit, Google Contacts or a CSV

SendFox is for creators who send one good email a week and don't want to think about the bill. You get a signup page, forms, a welcome automation, starter email templates and a subscriber referral program. Pro adds A/B tests on automation emails, paid newsletters and teammates. It's not a CRM, and it won't sell ads for you. If you need either, the tools below do it better.

Good

  • Free for 1,000 contacts and 3,000 sends a month
  • $29 once for 5,000 contacts and 300,000 total sends
  • Smart Pages and subscriber referrals on every plan, RSS-to-email from the $29 plan

Not so good

  • The $29 plan has a send pool. Weekly to 5,000 people uses it in about 13 months, then you move to Pro
  • No CRM or sales pipeline
  • Paid newsletters and removing branding need Pro

01

Best for: growing through other newsletters' recommendations
Price
$89/month at 5,000 (Creator). Free to 10,000 without automations.

Kit is where a lot of people go when they get serious about growing. Its Recommendations network shows your newsletter to readers of other Kit newsletters, and nothing else on this page brings in subscribers like that. The catch is the bill: $89 a month at 5,000 subscribers, and the free plan won't run a welcome sequence. If growth matters more to you than cost, pick Kit.

Good

  • Recommendations network and newsletter sponsorships
  • Free plan up to 10,000 subscribers
  • Store for digital products built in

Not so good

  • The first welcome sequence needs a paid plan
  • Takes 3.5% plus 30 cents per sale
  • Bills for subscribers who stopped opening

02

Best for: a website builder and 100+ integrations
Price
$49/month at 5,000 (Comfort).

If you like how simple SendFox is but want more knobs, start here. MailerLite adds a website builder, landing pages and 100+ integrations, so it plugs into most of what you already use. It's $49 a month at 5,000. Watch the jump at 10,000 subscribers, where it goes to $89.

Good

  • Website and landing page builder included
  • Preference center and 100+ integrations
  • Sells digital products and bookings

Not so good

  • Free plan is now 250 subscribers
  • Comfort caps you at 10 emails per subscriber a month
  • Jumps to $89 at 10,000

03

Best for: selling ads in your newsletter
Price
$109/month at 5,000 (Lite). Free to 2,500.

beehiiv is for people who want their newsletter to earn money from ads. The Ad Network and paid recommendations (what beehiiv used to call Boosts) are the reason to go. Both need the paid Lite plan, $109 a month at 5,000, and removing beehiiv's branding takes Pro. If you just send a weekly letter to your readers, you'd be paying for a media company you won't use.

Good

  • Ad Network and paid sponsorships
  • Paid recommendations (formerly Boosts)
  • Website and podcast in the same place

Not so good

  • Automations and the Ad Network start on the paid Lite plan
  • Removing beehiiv branding needs Pro

04

Best for: texting customers by SMS
Price
$79/month for a weekly email to 5,000 (Standard). Free sends 300 emails a day.

Brevo is the odd one here. It charges for emails sent, not for contacts, so a big list you email once a month stays cheap. The real reason to pick it is texting: SMS lives in the same account as your email, paid as credits, and WhatsApp campaigns come with the Professional plan. If your customers would rather get a text, go with Brevo.

Good

  • Prices by emails sent, not contacts
  • SMS in the same account, paid as credits
  • Sales CRM add-on with pipelines

Not so good

  • Starter shows Brevo branding unless you add $12 a month
  • Starter stops at 100,000 emails a month
  • Free caps you at 300 emails a day

05

Best for: the lowest monthly bill
Price
$31.50/month at 5,000 (Pro).

EmailOctopus was the cheapest monthly plan we found up to 50,000 subscribers: $31.50 a month at 5,000. It's plain on purpose. If you want a small monthly bill and nothing to think about, it does the job. Over three years it still adds up to more than a one-time plan.

Good

  • Cheapest monthly price we found up to 50,000 subscribers
  • Unlimited users and landing pages

Not so good

  • Free plan puts EmailOctopus branding on your emails
  • Free keeps only 30 days of reports

06

Best for: online stores that want deep ecommerce integrations
Price
$100/month at 5,000 (Standard). Free stops at 250 contacts.

Mailchimp is still the safe pick for online stores. Its product recommendations and ecommerce integrations go deeper than anything else here. For a newsletter, though, $100 a month at 5,000 is a lot, and it counts unsubscribed contacts toward your plan.

Good

  • Deep ecommerce integrations and product recommendations
  • Huge template library, custom-coded templates and popup forms

Not so good

  • Counts unsubscribed contacts toward your plan
  • Adds overage charges past your limits

07

Best for: getting found through a reader app
Price
Free to send. Keeps 10% of paid subscriptions.

Substack is the only tool here that can find readers for you. People browse its app and recommendations, so a brand new writer can get subscribers in the first week. It's free until you charge, then it keeps 10% of every paid subscription. The trade is that your readers live in Substack's app, next to everyone else's writing.

Good

  • Discovery through the app and recommendations
  • Free if you never charge
  • Podcasts, video and a reader app included

Not so good

  • 10% of paid subs plus card fees, for as long as you publish
  • Email tools are thin next to the rest of this list

08

Best for: a real website with a newsletter
Price
$75/month at 5,000 (Publisher).

Pick Ghost if the website matters as much as the email. You get a real publishing site with themes and a CMS, and Ghost takes 0% of your paid memberships. It's $75 a month at 5,000 on Publisher. If the email is the whole product, you're paying for a website you'll barely use.

Good

  • Full website and CMS
  • 0% fees on paid memberships
  • Posts on the open web through ActivityPub

Not so good

  • Starter stops at 1,000 members
  • You pay for hosting you might barely use

09

Best for: beautiful emails
Price
$59/month at 5,000 (Pro).

Flodesk has the prettiest templates on this list, and it's hard to make an ugly email with it. It used to be one flat price however big your list got. That ended for new members in December 2025, so now it's $59 a month at 5,000 and climbs from there.

Good

  • Best-looking templates
  • Checkout and sales pages built in
  • Doesn't bill for unsubscribed or bounced contacts

Not so good

  • Flat price retired in December 2025
  • Free plan does not send email
  • $389/month at 50,000

10

Best for: sales teams that need a CRM
Price
$145/month at 5,000 (Plus, paid yearly).

ActiveCampaign is for businesses with a sales team. A CRM sits right next to your email, deal pipelines and lead scoring come as an add-on, and its automations are the most powerful on this list. You pay for that: $145 a month at 5,000, billed yearly. If you send a newsletter, most of that bill is a CRM you won't open.

Good

  • CRM next to your email, with pipelines and lead scoring as an add-on
  • Branching automations
  • Predictive sending and conditional content on Pro

Not so good

  • Prices shown are yearly only
  • New accounts are billed for every contact, whatever their status

Monthly price by number of subscribers, monthly billing unless noted, read from each vendor's pricing page on October 14, 2026. Brevo prices by emails sent, so its row is one weekly email to the whole list. n/a means the vendor does not publish a price at that list size (custom quote or no tier there). SendFox: $29 once covers 5,000 contacts and 300,000 total sends; above that, Pro plans are monthly.

When SendFox is enough

Honestly, a lot of people searching this should stay put. If you send a newsletter to fewer than 5,000 people and don't need a CRM or an ad network, switching mostly buys you a bigger bill. At 5,000 subscribers, the monthly plans on this list run from $31.50 to $145 a month. SendFox is $29 once until your sends run out, then Pro from $19 a month.

Checked, but not ranked

AWeber. Fine, but $60 a month at 5,000 on Lite, which allows 1 list, 3 landing pages and 3 automations. Its free plan isn't on the pricing table. MailerLite does more for less. SendFox vs AWeber

Moosend. $48 a month at 5,000 with no free plan, just a 30-day trial. Good if you also need transactional email. Otherwise EmailOctopus is cheaper. SendFox vs Moosend

GetResponse. Good if you run webinars, but those start on the Creator plan. Starter is $54 a month at 5,000 and includes 1 custom automation. SendFox vs GetResponse

How we checked

Every price comes from the vendor's own pricing page, read on October 14, 2026, at monthly billing unless noted. We priced each tool at 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 subscribers on the plan named in the table. The ranking is for someone on SendFox who needs one thing it does not do, ranked by how well each tool does that thing. Nobody paid to be on this list. SendFox prices come straight from our billing system, so they match what you will pay.

How to switch

  1. In SendFox, go to Contacts and export a CSV. Every plan can do this.
  2. Import the CSV into the new tool and map first name, last name and any tags.
  3. Swap your signup forms and Smart Page links for the new tool's forms.
  4. Rebuild your welcome automation, then send a test to yourself before your next email.
