Resend pricing explained (2026)
Quick answer: Resend is free for 3,000/mo, 100/day. Pro is $20/mo for 50,000 emails a month, with overage at about $0.90 per 1,000. On SendFox, 50,000 emails cost $15 a month, and SendFox accepts Resend's API so you can switch without rewriting code.
Resend's plans
| Plan | Price | Emails a month | Daily limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 3,000 | 100 |
| Pro | $20/mo | 50,000 | None |
| Scale and Enterprise | Higher tiers | 100,000+ | None |
Monthly billing, read from resend.com/pricing on October 13, 2026. Resend adjusts its higher tiers often; check its page for anything above 50,000.
Things that change the bill
- Recipients, not requests. One email to a customer with two people on cc is three emails.
- The free daily cap. 100 a day means a launch-day signup spike can stop your welcome emails by lunch. That is usually what pushes people to Pro.
- Overage. Past 50,000 on Pro you pay per 1,000. Fine when it's planned, painful when a retry loop sends the same receipt 40,000 times.

Should you switch?
If Resend's features you rely on are attachments or scheduled sends, stay for now. If you're sending receipts, login codes, password resets and notifications, you'll pay less on SendFox for the same API. It takes two environment variables: here's the walkthrough. FAQ
Is Resend free?
Resend has a free plan of 3,000/mo, 100/day with one sending domain. That is enough to build and test, and for a small app in production.
How much is Resend Pro?
Resend Pro is $20/mo for 50,000 emails a month on monthly billing, with overage at about $0.90 per 1,000.
Does Resend count each recipient as one email?
Yes. Every to, cc and bcc address is one email against your quota. SendFox counts the same way, so the numbers compare directly.
What is a cheaper alternative to Resend?
SendFox is $15 a month for 50,000 emails, with a free plan of 3,000 emails a month, and accepts Resend's API requests, so switching is a configuration change.
