I’m convinced that most people today have no idea who Jesus really is. We have this tainted view of “Judgmental Jesus“ that misguided Christians have been selling for years. And of course no one wants to know “that“ Jesus. But look at what Peter says in the verses below… He was this bold, even though being that bold could get himself killed. Now you have to ask yourself the question, who is worth risking your life for? Like, of course your family right? If you’re a parrot you would lay down your life for your children, if you’re married he’ll lay down your life for your spouse right? (You better have said yes to both of those) but Peter is speaking this boldly and willing to be killed for a man that’s physically dead so why? Because he knew the truth… He wasn’t defending a man’s honor at all. He was letting the world know that Jesus was so much more than a man. He was God manifest in the flesh redeeming us to himself through love and sacrifice. When you learn the truth about who Jesus really is, and you learn that God truly loves you so much he was willing to make that sacrifice for you, then you realize everyone in the world should have a relationship like that. So many Christians talk about making converts or getting people saved but Jesus never said to do that. Why not? Because He knew that His death saved the world, all the dead and those to come and we can’t save anyone. What Jesus did say is to make disciples... What does that mean? It means to get people to follow Jesus and HIS way! His way is to put God at the center of it all! We live to help people realize the gift they have been given, the grace of God through Jesus, and to help them learn how to live in a way that reflects that gratitude we have for that gift by loving God and loving others. Following Jesus is not about “getting saved”, and it’s not about a personal relationship...we’ve been saved by His blood and we were never meant to selfishly focus on a personal relationship, because Jesus isn’t some keepsake idol...we are meant to have a communal relationship with God through Jesus.  Today is your day loved ones.  Make Jesus the Lord of your life and read the red letters in Matthew Mark Luke and John. For people who haven’t been paying attention… What you’ve been seeing on Wall Street with halting the sale and purchase of stock like AMC and GameStop is 100% pure corruption. Hedge funds in large investment firms haven’t been frozen out of these stocks. If you try and buy AMC right now, you won’t be able to. Right now is the perfect time to grab it when it’s around six dollars per share but you’re not allowed to because you, the every day citizen, need to be protected from your own mistakes apparently. The fact that there are many politicians like Elizabeth Warren, someone who pretended to care about the every day American, backing Wallstreet with this is disgusting. For those of you that have been worshiping your political party leaders like Joe Biden, or Donald Trump, can you now see that no politicians genuinely care about you? Sure there are a few Republicans and a few Democrats virtue signaling to all of us by pretending that they care about the little guy but right now Congress could step in and do something to remove these freezes. The free market allows people to take risks and lose it all if they want to. Are you understanding yet that you were not given your freedom by the government? If you were truly free, they couldn’t take it away? The only freedom you have is with your soul and that freedom is given to us by our Creator God. Now is the time to learn who God is, learn the ways of Jesus. Start thinking that your freedom comes from the country you live in or the politicians your follow and set your soul three by following the only being worth Jesus our Lord and Savior.
