Soooo drumroll please... dum der dum... Today was the day I sat down to finally get started with writing the book that’s been calling to me for years and years and years. It’s kinda strange to think that one day it will be found in a stack of books, just like mine, in someone else’s home, bearing witness to a moment of their life. These are just a few that are found in my bookshelves, filled with random wanderings through words and wisdom, magical adventures and deep learnings... all of which have moulded or expanded my thoughts and life. I’ve been validated today in so many ways, but most amazingly in finding a cover designer that literally landed under my nose unsearched for, and finding out that a good friend also used to be a book editor in a previous professional life - and of course offered to help! Magic happens when you choose to meet it halfway! If you were to go to your bookshelf now, and suggest to me just one book to read... what would it be? i have so many favorites, for so many moments that I return to often, it would be hard for me to choose just one... but if I’m pushed, I do believe everyone should read at least one Harry Potter book before they die. This morning I headed out with this furry monster and we ran the longest run for us both, ever... 10.2 miles!!! We’re both still in training, so we didn’t win any speed records, and yogi was only Canicrossing for half the distance (the rest he spent being his best doggie self, sniffing and following his nose through the tracks). And we’ve had the best best time!!! It was only a few months ago that 3 miles seemed impossible, but now here we are at 10. Yep, 10. So proud of us both and how far we’ve come, little by little, always challenging for more. Whatever it is you’re moving toward, keep on going, step by step, you’ll get there. You can do it. Next step for us is half marathon distance, then onward. What’s yours?
