Updates!
- Book your local in-person sessions at CrossFit Salty North in Wasilla on Mondays and Wednesdays (there's limited availability in the next month, so be sure to sign up if you're thinking about it!) Only $85/session!
- A new registration page with LOTS more information for The Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist Certification is up - click here! It's happening May 20-21st at Innergy in Wasilla, AK. It's a hybrid style where you get lifetime access to the online course as well as the two full-day live sessions. You don't have to be a bodyworker or fitness professional to join: many people take this course just to learn more about their own body and wellness journey.
- My online course, Mindful Movement in Mere Minutes is going to be opening up for registration April 13th....and you guys are going to get a steep discount just because you're such amazing email subscribers! I'll be emailing more about that soon, so keep an eye out!
- New group class at The Yoga Shack in Palmer on April 30th: Gait Lab + Group Walk, a collab with myself and Revel Treks + Tours!
And, welcome to the Menopause (& Beyond!) Edition! Whether or not you're in this stage of life, I bet you know someone who is. Be sure to forward them this email!
Something to listen to: The Resource Doula Podcast Episode: Menopause and Your Pelvic Floor with Kim Vopni, The Vagina Coach
It’s always lovely to chat with Kim, and hear her wisdom and passion for educating people about their pelvic health (and for those of you who are local - she's the one coming up in May for the pre/post certification!!). My top takeaways from this episode are 1) learn more about your body now. Information and education are powerful tools that you can use to help you advocate for your own health. You can start by reading her book! 2) find a village of health care professionals. And 3) take your time to slow down and find some calm. Your nervous system will thank you. Enjoy listening!
Something to try: Buff Muff App!
More Kim content! :) She's genius at integrating movement with pelvic floor health, and making it fun! Take it from her: Despite what media will tell you, light bladder leakage is NOT just part of being a woman. Incontinence, chronic back pain, and organ prolapse are common challenges for women but they are not something you need to live with or accept as normal. You deserve body confidence and it all starts with the pelvic floor! The app is free to download and includes some essential education as well as a 7-day pelvic floor exercise challenge to introduce you to something beyond just 'do your kegels.’

Some people to follow in the menopause space:
Something to know: It’s never too late to improve your pelvic health. I have clients all the time in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who improve their pelvic floor function and overall strength. It mostly just takes education (what I can help you with) and consistency (the work you have to do).
