Happy Sunday!
Welcome to the third edition of The Sunday Stir! I'm starting to get into a rhythm with this newsletter and it's been a good challenge at being consistent.
This newsletter is sponsored by Supercook. (Just kidding, don't have a sponsor yet.) I found this website tonight and found it helpful. Not sure what to cook? Just put in the ingredients you have and it spits out some recipes.
Alirghty, on to the Stir
-----------------------------
The World of People Leaving California - Elon Musk
Elon Musk has left California for Texas. Loads of people - like Joe Rogan, Ben Shapiro, and others have been exiting in mass numbers this year, with most of them going to Texas. Elon Musk in an interview with WSJ he even said that Silicon Valley is declining in relevance which is a powerful statement considering its coming from one of SV's highest profile executives. He stands to gain a lot by moving to Texas since they have no personal income tax. Might see him catching up to Jeff Bezos soon.
The World of Rainbows 🌈
We see rainbows as an arch but when you get above them they look like a circle. When you see them from a different vantage point, you get a whole different perspective. Very interesting and consistent with many situations in life. It's all about perspective.
The World of Psychedelic Therapy
There's a hefty amount of evidence pointing to the effectiveness of treating depression and anxiety with psychedelics. Field Trip Health is one example of this type of therapy becoming more mainstream. They don't just give you ketamine and send you off. They offer intensive visits that combine psychotherapy with the psychedelics. I'm fully expecting this type of therapy to continue growing in popularity. I'd love to know what you think about this, so send me your thoughts.
The World of Tweets
If you're male & not waking up with erection...It’s a signal that something in your body needs fixing.
Politicians Are Stealing the Basic Right To Earn A Living
Barstool Sports, Dave Portney goes off on new covid restrictions closing indoor dining for NYC. He rightly points out that this is going to absolutely crush these businesses into dust. Since this video went out, he along with some others, have pledged a bunch of their own money to help rescue these businesses. This year we've basically learned that people are ok with totalitarianism and having their rights violated.
The World of Proverbs
Even monkeys fall from trees. -Japanese Proverb
Thoughts: Everyone makes mistakes.
End Note
If you've enjoyed the Sunday Stir, I'd love it if you shared it with a friend or two. You can send them here to sign up. I hope you're enjoyed this episode. I've got some new ideas for the next one.
This is just the beginning of this so if you have feedback, let me know. And should you come across anything interesting this week, send it my way! I love finding new things to read through from members of this newsletter.
