Sunday Stir #27 - Human Life Span, Dan Bilzerian, Gratefulness
Jun 21, 2021 12:01 am
Happy Sunday! And Happy Father's Day! This is my first Father's Day and it's gotten me thinking a lot about my life and cherishing each day. Life has a funny way of feeling long and short at the same time. One thing is abundantly clear though, you have one life to do everything you'll ever do, so act accordingly. Make the most of each week. You won't be able to go back and relive these moments. Don't wish your life away saying "I can't wait for such and such time." The time that you have now is enough.
Alrighty on to the Stir!
The World of Life Span
If you live to 90 years old, do you know how many weeks that is? 52 weeks in a year so 90 x 52 = 4,680 weeks. Have you ever seen that visually?
That puts some perspective on your life. It doesn't look like all that much. Life is short and usually the older people get and the closer to death, the more they cherish each and every day. If only we could have that perspective to value each day and week from a young age, we'd live a full life with no regrets. Now let's look at a typical life and how those weeks are used.
From birth to the age of 18 that's 936 weeks and you're living at home. You're not on your own yet and able to make your own decisions. This is the period of time where you will see and spend the most amount of time with your parents, most likely. That takes our total from 4,680 weeks to 3,744 weeks. Ok, so if you go to college for 4 years that delays real life a little bit longer and brings the total to 3,536 weeks. Your career and work phase of life will take up the biggest chunk of your life. It's important that you get this part right.

The World of Dan Bilzerian
Ever heard of Dan Bilzerian? The super rich bearded poker player that has swarms of beautiful women in bikinis around him at all times. Yeah that guy. Check out his Instagram account. It's absolutely absurd. He's got millions of followers, mostly dudes just enviously scouring his account. If you believe Instagram is reality then you'd believe that this guy is truly a billionaire playboy traveling the world, having sex with the most beautiful women on Earth. But everything that glitters isn't gold. Watch this documentary to see if it's all reality.
Dan Bilzerian, The King of Instagram, an apparent professional poker player living a lifestyle that most could only imagine. From a military vet, to one of Instagram's most followed, Dan Bilzerian has certainly had somewhat of an interesting journey. The only catch - Is his version of the story congruent with reality? Is he as authentic as he says he is? What is the true nature of Dan Bilzerian's life? What's happening with his finances? Is his company Ignite going bankrupt? This is the rise and fall, of the man who built his life on a lie, Dan Bilzerian.
