Sunday Stir #21 - Preparation, Time Travel, Decisions, The Heart

Apr 26, 2021 4:07 am

Happy Sunday! I've got a short one for you today. My backlog of things to share with you keeps growing but it's not easy deciding what to include in each episode and when to leave it for another time. This episode is to get you thinking.

Alrighty on to the Stir!

The World of Preparedness

In the military they have a saying: "Two is one and one is none." Basically be overly prepared. You know for like important things like a meeting, an interview, a presentation, a first date, a speech, a backpacking trip, a catastrophe, etc. If you're in war and have 2 guns, one will most likely break so then you'll need to use that backup. If you have one gun, it will break and you will be in SOL. The next time you're doing something important, make sure that you're over prepared. Take preparation seriously! If 2020 taught us anything, it's that being prepared can go a long way. Never make fun of preppers again!

The World of Time Travel

We often wonder how important our day-to-day decisions are in determining the trajectory of our lives. But this tweet makes you think about it differently.

If you went back in time before your birth you'd be terrified to do anything, because you'd know that even the smallest nudges to the present can have major impacts on the future. Applied to today, a reminder that how you live each day really does matter. It changes the future.

The decisions you make today and the ones you make tomorrow are extremely important. Make sure you're going through life with eyes wide open.

The World of Proverbs

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." - Proverbs 4:23
