Instagram LogoI had an argument with my friend (still unresolved), some time this year about books. He believes that the value of books have dropped significantly because of the unusual craze to become an authority. He also believes that a book should only be called one when it is like 100 pages and above. Otherwise, it’s just a guide or article or booklet? My argument was that a book is a book when the reason it is created is fulfilled. As long as its message can be passed across, it really doesn’t matter how long it takes, and how many pages... it is a book. However, I’ve also learned that many times, lengthy books don’t get read completely. We are now in a time when people search for quick fixes and we just want solutions in the quickest ways possible. Especially since our attention span has dropped tremendously. So you’ll hear things like this: How would you create a freebie with 50+ pages, who would read it? Freebies should contain “what”, then we will hide “how” in what they will pay for. Lol. So people put together google searches and call them books (as freebies). That’s a story for another day. The aim of this post is to hear from you. Do you think the value of books has been compromised because we have more writers? Would you like a lengthy freebie? Do you finish lengthy books? P.S: I’m creating my first freebie, and you know how much I just wanna give you my best? #gracechristos #paidwriter #freebie #booklover #bookloversofinstagram #creativesconnect #wearenigeriancreatives #nigeriancontentcreator #instaboosteracademy #jooget #tmctribe #nigeriancreatives #lagoscreatives #freelancerlife #bookwriting #bookwritingtips #everythingnaart #contentcreator #enatribe
Instagram LogoHere’s why!! 1. Psychology of persuasion is my all time favorite book on anything. I remember when my friend, Michael Amonieah recommended it to me, he begged me to ensure I use the knowledge in it for good. I didn’t know the gravity of that till I started reading. With this book, you can influence any and everybody. And I mean it. I read it every year, almost like I read my Bible and it is fresh every time. It thrives on the predictability of human behavior and how to stay proactive, ready, envisioning all obstacles and preparing ahead of them. 2. If you know Grant Cardone, you know that his books are nothing short of exceptional. Sell or be sold demystifies the concept of sales. Much more, it makes you fall in love with it. You stop seeing sales as work, but your life. Something to live by. This book has inspired one of my posts I should publish soon, “why some churches will never thrive”. It’s simple. They lack salesmen. Watch out for it. 3. Positioning started for me as a difficult book. But it came in highly recommended so I put my soul into it. It turned out to being one of my best decisions ever. There’s an advantage that comes with positioning. Sales is largely an emotional decision. People patronize who stays top of mind. And that’s what this book is about. It navigates through human psychology to help you stay positioned, exactly where you ought to be. The knowledge from this book will leave you radically change. Forever. As the years go by, my reading habits has gone from quantity to quality. I could read a book 100 times as opposed to reading 100 books, and it is very advantageous to me. How best do you read your books? Read any of these books before? What’s your favorite 2020 book yet? #gracechristos #paidwriter #nigeriancontentcreator #contentcreator #copywritersofinstagram #copywritingtips #everythingnaart #wearecreatives #lagoscreatives #instaboosteracademy #socialmediamarketing #enatribe #jooget #diaryofacreative #contentmarketing #2020 #wearenigeriancreatives #tribecalledena #creativesconnect #tmctribe #bookstagram #freelancerlife
