Think for yourselves humans. Those in service I salute your choice and will be forever in your debt.
Last week I got going on posting for 7days after 4 months off It was important to set it up and do it Learnt a ton of stuff and I got generous comments back I enjoyed the connection with people Thank you For the coming weeks I’m off to create a blog site. @medium look out ? I’m sharing it to begin a conversation, to continue on from where I left off, and to save you the bother of repeating my mistakes Maybe you can skip the messy bits and apply the good stuff to your lives For now I’ll be writing on How to contribute more And my pet subject breathe Drop me a line on any subject you think I can help you with. I enjoy the conversation Image credit @pixabay Ryan McGuire Bells Design Oxford comma ? anyone?
Don’t > Should Be comfortable doing less Know why Be comfortable leading Be comfortable following Know the difference Inspired by the quote from Dizzy Gillespie It has taken me all my life to learn what not to play Image credit @pixabay For this post I googled don’t and shouldn’t and came across this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M399diAkMMo I know it’s important work. It begins a conversation. Not about excuses or laziness but about coaching kids not teaching them. Join the conversation
Work that doesn’t need to define you Contribute because you can It could help others shape their world Because you were doing it anyway Now someone will benefit When others are lost and off course Contribute to make a change because it’s the right thing to do Besides you may learn something Check in by asking: How many people did I help this week Check out by asking others: tell me about the time you contributed when nobody else was watching Today’s work was inspired by a chance meeting yesterday with Neil who had been a member at Elite on and off for years His life is simple Often difficult He has always had an incredible ability to listen and contribute Currently volunteering @bobathwales Image credit @pixabay Yes they are frogs and yes one is helping the other cross the road Why what did you think was happening?
Energy Recycling Energy is positive and negative Being relentless the same Choose not to martyr yourself Suffering in the name of self improvement Instead define your time to quit Spend time on your narratives Resolve never to do it again Repurpose as nothing is futile Use the skills you are learning now Do the work you believe in Fail forward and go again Inspired by the quote “Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely” Auguste Rodin Note: we are obsessed with recycling stuff Like most things it’s easier to look at others than it is ourselves If you do want to #recycle in #Cardiff check out @ripple_living @iechyd_da_cf14 @viva_organic All doing great work Photo credit @pixabay
Life and Zero Sum Games In life If I win, you may not lose If I lose, I still intend to help you win If we are competing in sport, not so much Today post inspired by “I’m not competing with anyone I hope we all make it” Erica Cook @erica.cook Photo Credit: Ryan McGuire
Have a enough To do the work that you want to do To create To have the freedom to feel inspired To feel energised To be with your family To enjoy your time Is that not enough? Inspired by the book Thinking Fast and Slow “The easiest way to increase happiness is to control your use of time. Can you find more time to do the things you enjoy?” Daniel Kahneman Image credit @pixabay #thinkingfastandslow #enough #dowhatmakesyouhappy #directives
Don’t sit on the fence If you don’t know what makes you happy, who does? Don’t rely on others for your happiness Write directives about how you want to live your life Write directives when you learn something important that you think will shape your thinking When reading a book When solving a problem When being useful Don’t sit on the fence Be bold and write directives that help you make decisions Decisions that give you only one option Cut out all other options and decide You can always change course If it isn’t working out Just don’t be caught in the middle Doing nothing, playing safe, pleasing everybody and nobody including yourself The act of writing directives helps you get clear on what you like Thinking about what you don’t like also helps If you know people who read books to learn. Share this post to them. If you don’t like this post tell me why. Above all make a decision and do something with that decision #directives #dowhatmakesyouhappy #decide #remain #leave
Quit and begin again Albert Einstein was brilliant Albert Hindsight will never know When you quit a big thing you need to remind yourself that it’s ok That failure and success are on the same line Success is your definition. Nobody else’s If you listen to others it’s their definition Not yours Be bold Go again Have a lovely day and play nicely Thank you. Without knowing why @dereksivers
