Hi ,

I’ve recorded something very close to my heart this week.

If your children are growing up, spending more time out of the house, or stepping into adulthood…you might recognise that strange mix of pride, love, and a little ache in your chest...

I’m feeling it myself right now.

My kids still live at home, but the house feels different - quieter than I’m used to...

I do appreciate the calm and the sense of safety it brings, yet when the quiet lingers, it can feel a little disconcerting, almost like an empty echo...

It reminds me, in a tender way, that my children are stepping into their own world, and I’m learning to adjust to this new rhythm 🎶

It’s completely natural.

It’s what so many people call the “empty nest”, even if the nest isn’t entirely empty yet.

This stage of life brings up grief, nostalgia, purpose shifts, longing, pride, confusion, and sometimes a feeling of being a little…lost.
