🐶 Engage Your 'Dog' Brain for Affirmations - Try this today!
Sep 18, 2024 9:49 am
Hi ,
I hope you’re having a fantastic week! As we dive into this week’s tapping roundup, I wanted to share a fun observation:
🐶 Have you ever noticed how dogs only seem to hear the words they love?
You might be saying, ‘We can’t WALK to the PARK today and play BALL because it’s raining, sorry’...
But all your dog hears is ‘walk,’ ‘park,’ and ‘ball’ - the things that excite them most! 🚶🐕⚽🌳
Now, what if we applied this same idea to writing affirmations?
Let’s say you’re trying to get out of debt and save more money. When you write your affirmation, do you really want to focus on the word debt? 🤔
Probably not, right? Just like your dog, you want to focus on what feels good and motivating.
So it's time to engage your dog brain! 🐾🧠
Instead of saying, ‘I’m paying off my debt and saving money,’ which includes a word you don’t love, ask yourself, ‘What do I really want to feel? What word do I love for this? What excites me?’
Here’s an example:
‘I am saving more and more money every day, and I love how abundant my life is becoming.’
See how it keeps the focus on what you want — abundance and saving money — without the heaviness of the word ‘debt’?
So next time you write your positive tapping affirmations, engage your dog brain — keep the words you love and leave out the ones you don’t!
Happy reading and happy tapping!

💭 Final Thoughts
As we wrap up this week’s tapping roundup and reflect on our playful analogy with dogs, remember to engage your "dog brain" by focusing on the words that uplift and inspire you.
But it’s also essential to honor the truth of what you’re feeling 🙏
In tapping, we must acknowledge the negatives before moving on to the positives, as all feelings are valid.
Don’t hesitate to express what you’re experiencing; this acknowledgment is a vital part of your healing journey.
So, while celebrating abundance and positivity is important, make sure to give space to the full spectrum of your emotions. Keep tapping with both honesty and joy!
