In the last email, I talked about effectiveness vs. efficiency.
Doing the right things before worrying about doing things right.
But here’s the thing…
Even after you’ve figured out what the “right” things are, the challenge isn’t over.
Because sometimes, you end up with a whole list of right things.
That’s where I am right now.
Several projects I started a while ago are finally coming to fruition.
All those irons in the fire?
They’re heating up — at the same time.
And even though I prefer to focus on one thing at a time… life doesn’t always wait.
So now I’m asking myself, daily:
What’s the best way to use the limited time and energy I have?
How can I keep making progress without burning out?
Here’s the trap I want you to avoid — the one I have to actively steer around:
Don’t try to do all the “right” things in parallel.
Yes, they all feel important.
Yes, they’re all calling your name.
But trying to do everything at once? That leads to overwhelm.
And worse — a bunch of half-started, half-finished projects that go nowhere.
What I’m doing — and what I suggest you try — is this:
Look at everything in front of you.
Ask yourself: Which one of these, if completed, would make the others easier or even unnecessary?
Then pick it. Focus. Finish.
Because results don’t come from effort spread across five projects.
They come from momentum and completion.
And if you’re in that place of feeling pulled in too many directions — overwhelmed, foggy, not sure what to prioritize…
