Hello ,

image

I just returned from Chiang Mai, Thailand where I participated in the Ying Peng Lantern Festival.

This festival focuses on letting go of what does not serve you and sending wishes for the future.

It was an awesome experience.

Many of you may not know but my mother passed away this year, and one reason I wanted to attend this festival was to send her a wish for happiness in her existence. I also wanted to clarify my purpose and send wishes for how I want to show up in this crazy world we are living in.

During my daily journaling, I spent time thinking about what I want to cultivate in my life, what do I need to let go of, so that I can prepare for 2026.

This experience influenced the restorative yoga themes as we prepare to end 2025 and start 2026!

Themes for upcoming restorative yoga sessions will offer you time to release, receive, and seed.

Thai Massage at Opus Yoga

Thai massage was developed more than 2,000 years ago in Thailand. Thai massage incorporates aspects of yoga, acupressure, energy balancing, and massage.

Thai massage respects the body's limits, while encouraging clients to reach their edge of flexibility - but never beyond. The work is purposely slow as the therapist guides clients through movements, being ever mindful of the client's physical limitations.

Thai massage is performed on a soft floor mat, with clients fully clothed in loose, comfortable attire suitable for the deep stretching. Pillows and bolsters are used to better support the client.

After a session, some clients report feeling awakened and energized, while also feeling deeply grounded and at peace.

Interested in a session at Opus: November 16 and December 7 at 1 pm or 2:30 pm. [one spot available on each day].

Allow your mind to calm, your heart to relax, your soul to BE.
