What's the Next Big Thing Here? 🤔

Happy Friday,

Today's email will be a bit different. Typically my emails focus on one topic, but this time I will bring up a few things.

High-Performing Teams

I recently wrapped up this series, so I want to hear from you. What did you think? Were there topics I didn't cover that you wanted? Were there any surprises you found or challenges? Should I do a new series?

Let me know what you think. Just reply, and I'll get it.

Clients

I'm looking for new clients. I completed my last contract recently, so my hunt for new clients is on! What are some things I did as a part of my last engagement?

  • Operated a near-shore development center and built development teams that were 2x-4x faster than on-shore and off-shore counterparts, and no bugs
  • Brought a product from concept to market worth $7m/yr in profit with existing customers
  • Assisted in an agile transformation of 400+ teams

My sweet spot is building exceptional development teams, but as you can tell, there are a lot of other things that wind up happening, too. I know companies everywhere are tightening their belts in anticipation of a recession, but they aren't letting go of their expectations of success. That means everyone has to figure out how to do better with less. I can help with that.

I'd love to talk to you about some problems in your company and how I could help. If not that, an introduction to someone who might benefit from my services is fantastic.

Schedule a Call

Writing

I've started up my blog again! That means my newsletters will resume having some links for you on the articles I post each week. I think I will start a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule for articles.

I've included the article I wrote on Wednesday below. It's about a really important moment in my career that changed how I lead and learn their capabilities. The one I wrote today is on my site, but It'll show up in next week's newsletter.

Also, I was thinking of aggregating some other articles from sites, but I'd like to know which ones you'd like. So let me know.

Sincerely,

Ryan Latta

🗒️ How to Learn What Your Team is Capable of

I recently finished my newsletter series on how I build high-performing software teams, and in that process, I recalled many moments from my career.

One of those memories is a big part of my leadership style and what I want to share today.
