Friday’s Prayer — December 9, 2022

Come, Lord Jesus. I woke up refreshed and ready for the day this morning and I know that is all because of You. Thank You for being my protector, provider, and sustainer. There’s none like You, Lord. Help me to stay hidden in Your will today. Guide my every thought, word, and deed so that I may give You glory. Let me cast all my cares on You, Father. Shine the light of Your presence on me. Bless those suffering with addiction, Lord God. Deliver them from their demons and into the healthy and joyous place You have prepared for each and every one of them. Be the Savior You are. I get to watch You be God all day and night long and that’s pretty awesome. Whenever I look for You I find You. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen

Come, Lord Jesus. This is the day that you have made, Father, and I am overjoyed to be with you as you guide me through it to the good of all. Thank you for giving me another day of life, health, and strength. Help me to be fully present this day, Father. Give me wisdom and initiative so that I may be blessed with good results in my work. Grant that I may only do your will and align mine with yours. Bless those grieving a loss right now, God. Comfort mourners and give them the support they need to sustain themselves. Bring them joy, consolation, and even friends as only you can. I lift up your name, oh Lord, to give you all the glory and the praise. I can’t wait to see you at work in my life and the world today. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen

Come, Lord Jesus. I am jazzed to wake up this morning and see you first thing, Lord. I am so glad we get to spend the day together. I give you thanks for another day on this side of the Jordan. Align me with your good and perfect will today in all that I think, say, and do. Let me be in sync with what you desire for my life. Allow me to be an instrument of your peace to all. Bless those who have given up on life, Lord. Restore their dreams and zest so that they may engage in life fully. Grant them the sweetness and abundance that make life worth living. I am so grateful for the goodness and mercy that you send to fill my life and overflow, Father. You give me everything I need. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen

Let Us Pray

Come, Lord Jesus. When I woke up in the dark this morning, I thought about how we are all anticipating and hoping for a great light to come into the world. Thank You for always having joy come in the morning. Help me to be mindful of this Advent season by embracing a spirit of hope and waiting on You. Your greatness and mercy blow my mind. I run to You with all that I am and always find You waiting. Bless those that are without a place to lay their heads, Father. Grant them homes and bring them into stability and abundance. Help our communities eliminate homelessness completely. I give You thanks and praise for all the goodness and mercy You pour into my life. I can’t wait to see how You will show up in my encounters today. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen

Come, Lord Jesus. I wake up easily and ready for the day, thanks to you. You are the sustainer of my life in every way. You even came so that I might have life more abundantly. I give you thanks and praise. Help me to be energetic and productive today. Give me an easier hill to climb, since I didn’t get much sleep. Fill me with your grace and cover me with your wonderful mercy. Bless those who can not afford to heat their homes, Father. Give them warmth and heat so that they may thrive and be well this winter. Let us build societies that provide for everyone. I am so glad I’m on your team, God. You are always the answer to every situation. Thank you for being on my side. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen

Thank You, God. Thank You for waking me up gently and ready for the day. I am so glad I have Your strength when I do Your will. You are the best friend and LORD I could ever have. Good morning. Bless me to have the energy, attention, and flexibility to handle whatever comes today. Grant that things work out in my favor and give me Your hand to protect me from all harm. Watch over and keep all of those fighting for freedom from bondage. Stand mighty and strong on the side of the oppressed. Break their chains and bring them to Your liberty. I smile and am at ease when I remember that You are on my side. You do all things well, oh God. I give you thanks and praise. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen

Thank You, God. I am happy to wake up easily and ready to face the day You have placed before me, Father. You gave restful sleep to my tired eyes and now I have the energy and desire to press on. Help me to have a great start to my work week. Let me give my job the energy, focus, and effort it deserves. Bless the work of my hands. Allow me to be a blessing to others today. Bless those grieving this holiday season, Holy Spirit. Comfort them in your loving arms. Give them consolation and even joy as only You can do. Journey with and support them. I will celebrate You all the day long, for You have blessed me with life and life more abundantly. You indeed are the lover of my soul. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray. Amen
