Instagram Logo✨ How to Avoid Overplanning ✨ "Developing tolerance for imperfection is the key factor in turning chronic starters into consistent finishers." - Jon Acuff Creating a detailed plan for your goals usually goes like this -> ☀️ 1 day after - You feel like an absolute goddess, you know exactly what's up every step of the way to get from point A to point B for your goal / project. ☀️1 month after - You feel detached from your plan, you've kind of forgotten about it, it feels a lil vague and fuzzy to you and you don't know what your next steps are even though you wrote out literally every step along the way when you initially made a plan. When you plan, all of your initial actions are clear and make sense and feel actionable! But as you move along and time passes, it all feels fuzzier and more overwhelming and you'll start to avoid the plan that you made. To avoid this, I like to: ☀️Create a really high level "plan" for my goals ☀️ Get REALLY clear on my immediate next actions - not my actions in three months time or twelve months time, but my *immediate* next actions ☀️ Revisit and revise my plans occasionally (like every month) Doing it this way helps you to avoid over planning and spending all your time organising the perfect Notion page, and then getting overwhelmed by planning to the point that you don't *do*. There's no need to make it a comprehensive 10-page long plan that acts as an avoidance mechanism instead of a helpful guide. Plan until you feel clarity on what you need to do to move forward, you have a high-level idea of how things might flow, and then - stop planning. Schedule a time to revisit and revise your plans if you need to. Then - start taking action.
Instagram Logo☀️ I have some big news ☀️ I'm SO freaking excited to finally announce - Intention. My app focused on simple, actionable self-care and mindset exercises to integrate into your daily routine. So much of what I talk about is important, life-changing kind of stuff. Making better decisions, creating self-love, self-compassionate productivity - it's all essential. It's also the type of stuff that's really easy to listen to someone talk about and to get inspired by, and a lot harder to act on. So I decided to fill this app with exercises and activities that make it easier to take action. This will be a tool that you can use when you feel overwhelmed to get back to a space of calm, when you're in self-doubt or self-criticism to move to a place of self-kindness, when you're unclear to move into a space of clarity - through guided writing exercises, book guides, interactive activities, courses and eventually more - all created by myself. Right now, when you hop on to Intention you'll find a curated collection of exercises that will be built on over time - there's much more to come (I *cannot* wait for future content to be released). ☀️ Download Intention for iPhone and get a 40% off for an annual subscription (expiring in 7 days). Click the link in my bio to download the app. ☀️ Psst... ? Is it just for iPhone? For now - it's iPhone only. We'd love to and plan on expanding to Android in the future - but I want to make sure we get that move 100% right when we get there. ? How does the founding member pricing work? You'll have the discounted pricing applied forever, as long as you stay subscribed to the app ?
