Did you know that in the 1980's, Ferrari developed an Indycar? Well they did as they were having issues with the direction F1 was taking and in ‘Like meeting the Pope’: How a Kiwi became Ferrari’s IndyCar boss," SpeedCafe looks at how Steve Horne came to lead Ferrari’s short-lived CART project.
“In the event that in Formula 1 the sporting and technical rules of the Concorde Agreement are not sufficiently guaranteed for three years the Ferrari team (in agreement with its suppliers and in support of its presence in the US) will put this program into effect.”
