A Message from the Editor,

Sonia Last ๐Ÿ“

We hope the first quarter of 2025 has set you on a positive trajectory. If not, there are three more quarters in which to turn things around.

It helps to remember the โ€˜one-in-60-ruleโ€™ navigators use when charting a course. They know that a one-degree error in direction over a distance of 60 miles, will have them straying off course by a mile and landing somewhere entirely different to that intended. By making incremental shifts in our trajectory, we too can arrive at a different and hopefully better place. The same can be said for organisations. Minor adjustments toward a healthy ethos can, in due course, produce good effect.

Financial Wellbeing

We never stop improving and polishing our offerings, so in response to growing concerns, we have added an important new course to our stable.

Being acutely aware of how worries brought on by financial stress can impede our own and otherโ€™s ability to thrive, we are now able to offer Financial Wellbeing Workshops that are designed to help you provide practical advice and timely support to those under financial pressure.

We canโ€™t fix the cost-of-living crisis, but we can empower people to improve their financial wellbeing and resilience. Our Financial Wellbeing Awareness Workshops and the more comprehensive CPD Certified FinWELL Champion Training have been developed specifically to help people regain control of their finances. Upskilling your mental health champions and managers with these tools and practical skills can make a profound difference to those who are struggling to cope.

A great way to bring wellbeing conversation into your workplace is to promote awareness of some of the issues many of us struggle with. Here are some of the more common ones:

Friday 14 March - World Sleep Day

Thursday 20 March โ€“ International Day of Happiness

April (yes, the whole month!) - Stress Awareness Month

With all the political conflict, natural disasters and mayhem going on around us, we need to be vigilant and proactive in protecting our self-care routines. We seem to be bombarded by all sorts of discord that negatively affect our relationships and our peace. Some people have strong filters to keep the chaos at bay and use sport, hobbies, art, music and spiritual practices to tap into the positive and the beautiful. Throughout history, these activities have helped us mitigate the damaging effects of things outside our control and help to reaffirm our better natures.

We hope you ringfence the activities that bring you the tranquillity and flow that boosts your immune response to stress and nonsense.

Wishing you a marvellous March.
