How you treat your wife affects your prayer life

Husbands, have you ever felt like your prayers were unanswered? Have you ever felt like you were praying, and God was asleep or busy watching a football game or otherwise too engaged to bother with you?
Psalm 65:2 tells us that God hears our prayers. So, the problem is not in Him receiving them. Rather, the problem is in them being answered, and that is directly related to us.
First Peter 3:7 warns us husbands to live with our wife in an understanding way, to treat them as precious, and to partner with them SO THAT our prayers will be answered.
See husbands, it's not just some, "nice husband" practice for us so that we can relate better to our wife. Even though the quality of our relationship with our wife is impacted by doing these things, there's something much larger on the line: getting our prayers answered.
If you have serious needs, and require God's help in this world, you are a prime candidate for having your prayers answered. That means, you must practice these qualities so that God will be open to answering your prayers. Don't short-circuit your prayer life by shortchanging your relationship with your wife.
