When last did you check your blood pressure ?

I recently met a young man with a bp of over 240/130mmHg (normal is 120/80). I almost could not believe it. We checked with multiple machines and the results hovered around the same value.

I looked at him… in shock. For some weird reason, he did not have any expression on his face. Then it hit me! I asked him… ‘Can you see me?’ Then he said… “ Yes doc..i can see you.. Just that the image is very blurry’.

Did you know High blood pressure can cause blindness?

When I say, please check your blood pressure, it is not just for only you. Please check that of your family members and friends  too. Because if any of them get a complication from high blood pressure, your bank account will feel the impact by association.

Prevention is cheaper than cure.

This weekend, get a Blood pressure monitor and check your BP.
