The lie they told you about breakfast

Do you think breakfast is the most important meal of the day?
Well…it actually depends.
Now let me explain something to you. In the late 19th century, two Seventh day Adventists James Caleb Johnson and John Harvey Kellogg (yes, of the cereal kelloggs brand), started selling the idea of having corn cereals as a healthy breakfast and that it could prevent masturbation. They tried tying in religious morality into the importance of healthy eating. Thus the marketing cliché arose ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the day’.
Well…in a way, I agree break-fast is the most important meal of the day.
Every day, we do a form of fasting (circadian fast). We fast through the night and what we eat to break the fast is also called break-fast. You see why I agree with it? Because really, what you eat to break your fast can either make or mar your health.
What are you having at break-fast?
What ever you time you chose to have your breakfast, it is important you are eating healthy, wholesome and rewarding meals.
