The Power of Small , Daily Self Care Rituals

Hello Mama,
Does the thought of "self-care" feel overwhelming, too much effort, just another bloomin' thing on your never ending to-do list?
I wonder if that is because you feel like self-care is complicated, time consuming, expensive and *gasp* self indulgent.
What if self-care was in the small things. Daily choices. Rituals and habits that take 5 minutes or less? Let me confirm for you - small, daily rituals that are all about YOU and your needs are just as powerful (maybe even more) than a massage or a pampering session at the day spa once in a blue moon.
What kinds of things am I talking about? Daily hydration - how often do we lug our kids water bottles everywhere but forget our own? Pausing and concentrating on your breathing, slowing it down and making sure your exhale is longer than your inhale for 5 - 10 breaths. Waking in appreciation each morning, as soon as you feel yourself waking, keep your eyes closed and focus on three things you love and appreciate. Stepping outside to feel the sun on your skin and the grass under your bare feet.
None of these things are costly, time consuming or difficult. But any and all of these things will help you feel more supported and connected.
