6 Foods to Keep Your Heart Happy

These 6 foods can help keep your heart healthy AND your energy high:


  1. Salmon: Packed with omega-3s to fight inflammation and support your heart. Try adding it to your meals once or twice a week.
  2. Avocados: Full of healthy fats that help balance cholesterol. Spread it on toast, toss it in a smoothie, or enjoy it with a sprinkle of salt!
  3. Leafy Greens: Kale, spinach, or Swiss chard are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants to help manage blood pressure. 
  4. Dark Chocolate: The higher the cocoa content, the better! Flavonoids in dark chocolate can boost blood flow and lower blood pressure. (Just make sure it’s 70% or higher!)
  5. Berries: Blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries are antioxidant powerhouses that help keep your arteries in good shape. Toss them in yogurt, oatmeal, or eat them as is!
  6. Walnuts: Just a handful gives you omega-3s and fiber, which both help lower bad cholesterol. Great as a snack or sprinkled over salads.
