Voice recognition mistake of the week: I dictated this for my upcoming mystery about a woman who can read objects through her touch. âI didnât like wearing gloves. I didnât want any information from my touch, but I felt oddly clumsy, like trying to clean a deadly limit from while wearing dark glasses.â It took me a while to figure out that deadly limit from was supposed to be dimly lit room.
In fun news, I got a huge box of mass-market paperback (the smaller size) copies of Something Shady at Sunshine Haven, with its new cover. These will be in the Harlequin Mystery December mystery box.
In The Accidental Detective humorous mystery series, a witty journalist solves mysteries in Arizona and tackles the challenges of turning fifty.
Have you ever seen an actual saguaro cacti? I saw many on a recent visit to the Phoenix area for Thanksgiving. It's fun to come up with captions for them. This one might be: "Put up your dukes, big nose!"
For scale, the cactus on the left is probably 25 feet tall.
The audiobook for Something Shady at Sunshine Haven is in Audible (you have to be signed in for the link to go directly to the book) and the Hoopla library app.
