Take a book vacation! (You know you need one.)

Is it time for a book vacation? A lot of other summer plans have been canceled, but they can't take our books away! Check below for links to free books.

I know those of you in northern climates are still wearing jackets, but in New Mexico, it feels like full-on summer. Temperatures have been in the 90s. A nice breeze would help keep things cooler, but instead we have strong winds which make it hard to keep my hiking hat on my head. I have still been doing some hiking and archery, but I don't know how I'll tolerate the summer heat. At least the fruit trees are producing – the apricots are a couple of months early, and we have peaches and plums.

We are getting some lovely sunsets with the clouds:

Cute of the day: In the latest cat café novel, Romance and Rescues, Holly and Duncan head to a spooky, abandoned house to rescue the cats there. They find cats missing limbs, tails, ears, or eyes. Unfortunately, in real life many cats suffer injuries that require amputations. Yet these animals can still be sweet, wonderful pets! Check out some of the one-eyed cats with the Instagram hashtag #oneeyedcat.

Bear Bear the ferret is rather aggressive in his affection. Fortunately, Panda doesn't mind:

Voice recognition mistake of the day: “And she wasn't helping matters by sitting there staring like a stuffed towel.”

If you haven't yet gotten your copy of my free novella, Lions and Love at the Cat Café, you can get it here. For “13 of the recipes mentioned in Kris Bock's Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series,” go here.

If you've read my novels and enjoyed them, please take two or three minutes and leave a review. They help other readers find good books, and they help authors gain visibility to readers so we can afford to keep writing! Here’s the direct link to leave a review for Romance and Rescues at the Cat Café.
