I’m so excited for several events coming up!

FIRST - Tuesday, April 15^th, is release day for SOMEONE IS OUT THERE, my first ever suspense novel.

SECOND - This is a private one, but a big bunch of people are going to celebrate my birthday with me on the 19^th! My kids have arranged everything, so I’m not sure exactly what’s going on. My kind of party.

THIRD - I’ll be at the Malice Domestic conference this year, and I’ll be busy.

I’ll fly up Thursday night and check in.

Friday morning I’ll have to get my books to the bookseller, unless I can do that Thursday night.

Then MALICE GO ROUND 10 am in Ballroom D. This is where many pairs of writers (one of them containing me) will go from table to table pitching our latest books. Like speed dating, only cheaper, since we’re not buying them drinks. I’ll be pitching my book, above, that comes out just before Malice, of course.

5:30 cozies and cocktails with the Guppies

Saturday, noon, meet the Short Mystery Fiction people at Corby Kitchen for lunch. (They’re not short people, they’re regular sized-folks who write short fiction.)

5:00 Meet the panel for a brief meeting to make sure we’re ready for tomorrow. (I’m putting this here more for me than you. It’s a private meeting.)

Sunday, I’m moderating a panel on Settings! (You might remember that I announced the panel I’d be moderating, but I’m actually doing a different one. Things happened and I’m now moderating here at 9 am

WHAT I’M DOING

***Still worrying about my country, of course. Things aren’t getting any better, are they? Only worse. I keep feeling that something has to happen to stop all the harm that’s being done.

***Trying to make sure I’m packing everything I’ll need and getting ready for the events in Bethesda.

***I’m also getting some work done on COMFY CAT TAKES A TRIP. I’m currently over 20,000 words. That feels good! The first one in this series, COMFY CORNER KILLING, will come out soon, before I know it, this fall! Thanks to White City Press! I’ll start serious promotion on that one next.
