Hi everyone! Are you keeping warm? We’re having a cold snap here in E TN, but we’ll warm up by the weekend and the recent snow will be gone.

WHAT’S NEW

***Daffodil blooms? Oops, no, snow. But the daffs are there, they’re coming.

I took the picture for this newsletter to symbolize hope and spring, but, as I said. It snowed.

***Girl Scout cookies! I love to support this group. And I haven’t even eaten all of them yet.

***A brand new flash short story. This one is 99 words, and it’s at PUNK NOIR, their Bloody Valentine edition. Be forewarned, the word “bloody” is there for a reason.

What is the best vacation trip you ever took?

I’ll give a copy of DEATH ON THE TREK to three people. OK, the trip in this book isn’t a vacation, and it probably will never be a favorite trip for the characters, but it’s something they have to do. The Neanderthal Hamapa tribe must flee south as the ice encroaches on their living space and all the mammoth are leaving. It’s the second book in this series and, I’ll admit, I ordered too many, so I have to send some out.

WHAT’S COMING UP NEXT

***My suspense novel, SOMEONE IS OUT THERE, is NOT coming out April 1^st.. I had that wrong—it’s April 15^th. This time, really, no fooling! It’s available for pre-order, though. That didn’t change.

WHAT I’M DOING

***STILL working on my taxes. I wish that was done.

***Making good headway on COMFY CAT TAKES A TRIP, the second Comfy Cat novel. The series will be published by White City Press, with the first book, COMFY CORNER KILLING, coming out in the fall of 2025. BTW, I was so pleased when a character named Wensley told me he preferred the name Winchell, with a nickname of Winch. I’m grateful to him because I was having a hard time remembering how to spell Wensley. The hard life of a writer, right?

***The people of East TN and NC are still recovering from the devastation of the recent flooding. Appalachian music is such a big part of their heritage and many of them lost their instruments and had them damaged. Here’s a way you can help, if you’re able.
