If my information is right, tomorrow is Spring! I don’t know why I look forward to it so much. I’m allergic to everything that blooms and seeds and pollinates. Well, not everything, but it seems like it. My front yard--
WHAT’S NEW
***I did something different earlier this week. The Author’s Guild of Tennessee (https://authorsguildoftn.org/) has worked with Lenoir City High School for the last two years, encouraging creative writing in their course taught by Ms. Crabtree. In the spring we sponsor a writing contest and also give guest lectures for a few weeks. My turn was this week and I spoke on Short Story Structure, as I did last year. Once again, I was amazed at how attentive, polite, and interested the students were.
***I took a long time to make up my mind about attending the Malice Domestic conference at the end of next month. But I finally decided to go. I now have my registration, my hotel room, and plane tickets. I also have a panel! I didn’t expect that, since I registered so late, but I offered to fill in if they had a cancellation, and they did! I’m moderating the Art, Anthropology, Architecture, and Murder panel on Saturday at 11:00. The panelists are a great bunch: Judith Gaines, RJ Koreto, Con Lehane, and Lane Stone.
***I’ll also be doing Malice Go Round at 10:00 on Friday. That’s where a pair of writers (one of them being me) will go from table to table pitching our latest books. Like speed dating, only cheaper, since we’re not buying them drinks. I’ll be pitching my books that comes out just before Malice.

***I’ve had to take some breaks, but I’m still working on my COMFY CAT TAKES A TRIP project. The first one in this series, COMFY CORNER KILLING, will come out soon, before I know it, this fall! Thanks to White City Press! I’ll start serious promotion on that one next.
