Instagram LogoA few tasks for you to explore: 1. Pistol Squat - play with the range of motion (don’t descend all the time until you get into a squat), the free leg is moving forth and back, engage the spine - wave. Look upon one constraint at a time and than integrate. How much variability can you come up with? 2. From sitting to balancing on one leg. 3. From sitting to balancing on various parts of the legs. 4-5. It is was a more open exploration. Not really crystalized constraints. Mostly - from sitting to squat, moving in line forth and back, creating space for the legs by using the arms on the ground. We can present linear patterns as prescribed movements from our exploration as much as we want, it is very simple. But what does one really learn just by mindlessly coping other’s movements? How is this affecting the creative abilities of the one who is taking this linear path? Humans are complex systems. They have the capacity to self organize. By presenting various tasks for the learners we can facilitate and help improve one’s capacity to self organize, to come up with better coordinative solutions for the motor problems he/she encounters, to engage creatively with the practice and develop an explorative behavior. - Online Education: For more tasks check out my online courses.
