Instagram LogoA workshop open for everyone who wants to start, refine or expand their acrobatics practice. Our aim in this workshop is to decode the acrobatics practice. Crossing the barriers in between disciplines, we are going to look at the most universally valid principles in acrobatics, the fundamental patterns and their possible derivations. Improvisation and task exploration will be another big part of this workshop. Learn how to integrate acrobatics in improvisation and tell your own story. In this section everything will be explored - from standing, to crawling and floorwork - like a dancer, like a martial artist, like a human animal. Forms and movement situations will be another area of research. Forms: As a human origami we will fold and unfold, twist, bend and curve - mapping and understanding the landscape of our body. Movement situations: As a species that learns and develops through play, we will explore various movement situations and games. Learning to communicate better, to cope with unpredictable situations and to come up with creative and effective solutions. In the theoretical part we will cover: Decoding acrobatics - fundamentals and derivations. How do we support the practice and prevent injuries? The model of skill acquisition. Constraints led approach vs perfect practice approach. Informational Modeling Self determination theory and how to create contexts in which intrinsic motivation can flourish. Culture, acrobatics and what can we learn understanding our practice in a larger context. Instagram LogoWhat is a successful session for you? Instead of thinking at a successful session as being a session in which you improved or learned a new skill, see what happens if you shift your perspective and consider a successful session, a session in which you explored, had fun (interacted with other people, played, expressed yourself, lost yourself in the activity you were engaging) or discovered something new. Something new as, new sensory information, something new about yourself (e.c understanding better how you cope with struggle), new approach to something you already know and so on. Could the ‘what’ (the content) and the ‘why’ (the process) of the goal pursuit change our relation with our practice and our whole well-being? - Upcoming Workshops and Online Education 👇 UPCOMING WORKSHOPS BOOK YOUR SPOT ☝️link in bio Coruna (Spain) | ‘Human Animal’ | February 11-12 -> open level Prague | ‘Soft Acrobatics & Improvisation’| March 18-19 -> open level Teaching in collaboration with Josephine Haas. - Online Education: For open level, structured online movement courses check out the link in my bio.
