Even when you make “rules” for yourself to stay disciplined or “on track”, those rules will inevitably be broken a few times… It happens to everyone a lot more than you may think. And that's okay. The part you can be stoked about? YOU are the one that makes the rules… They can bend, they can break, they can flex to fit your needs. Life is not rigid or stiff… Just look at anything in nature. Life is free-forming, flowy, flexible, wiggly. So if you want your own life to move more freely with ease, less stress, and ever-growing abundance, you can’t be so rigid. Don’t get it mixed up; rules and structure are great tools. But they’re just that. Tools. We as fluid creatures can utilize those tools in whatever form or fashion we choose. So next time you slip up, get frustrated, or bored with your routines or “rules”... See how you can tap into your creative side and mold those “rules” to better fit your individual lifestyle, personality, learning style, etc… I promise you’ll feel better and grow faster. I was watching the @joerogan Podcast the other day and John Mackey (CEO of Whole Foods) said something that stood out to me so much I had to pause ⏸ the episode... ? Reflect on it… And then write it down ✍? so I could share it with you. “This whole idea that consumption is what drives the economy is fundamentally a myth. It’s mostly creativity & innovation that drives ? the economy.” - John Mackey Each one of us needs to harness our inner creator in order to build successful businesses that serve humanity and positively drive it forward. Creativity ? is one of the main building blocks for an ever-growing business, society, and world. Creating things for the sake of making $$$ won't make you $$$. Creating wild, expansive, innovative solutions for PEOPLE... will naturally drive more money into your pockets and the pockets of others ?. (sounds pretty rad to me). Stretch your creative muscles. Work 'em ?. Build 'em. USE 'em. It'll change the world. ???

When we first met, I had no f*cking idea that we would come so far in less than 1 year… All I knew is that we had a combined dream to help people live a happier, fun-filled life every single day. How we actually planned on achieving that at first? Not a clue. We went through countless experiments, ideas, and tests to truly figure out what we wanted to create & how we wanted to impact our communities... After all the energy we put into this bad*ss team and the work we do, say “whaddup” to: CMHx… (Stands for Cale, Megan, Haylee in case you were dying to know). The mission of CMHx is to create, collaborate, and amplify E.P.I.C. things (Enjoyable. People Centric. Imaginative. Candid)... Most importantly, we aspire to spread those virtues and the opportunity that comes with them to others. A huge leap in making this company a “3D” real-life entity is having our very own HQ… The CMHx House. We’re documenting our journey from start to “finish” (as we’re never truly done) in hopes to inspire the people around us along the way. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but it’s a challenge that we’re fully equipped & excited to take on. The CMHx House is going to be a place where dreams that live in our head (or yours) get to become real… Photo & video studio? Yup. Music room & audio recording? Yup. Sexy working spaces? Yup. Art galleries? Yup. Fitness corner? Yup. Zip line across the HQ? Why not. Our options are only as limited as our minds allow. Is there a difference between religion & spirituality? And is there a separation between spirituality & business? I think the "debate" could go either way honestly... We have so many spiritual practices in business whether we use that specific language or not. Bringing teams closer together, instilling healthy mindsets and cultures, picking one another back up when we fall down... While @bridget_hom & I were having a good time on Clubhouse (swipe to see the clip) she gave a unique perspective about how we can be the evangelist of our own lives and bring that into the workplace. What’s your take? Do spirituality and business mix?

All that life really is, and has to offer, are micro-moments in time. The present moment(s). If we don't stop to honor those moments, are we truly honoring this incredible life we were given? Are we tuning into the frequency of gratitude? What would happen if we honored each moment, good and bad? How much more connected to life, to other people, to our surroundings would we feel? If you move through life with haste, you're essentially stunting your growth. Over time, you'll look back and wish you would have lingered just a little bit longer. Stay a while with each moment (pleasant or not)... Honor it. And get curious to see what happens.

In order to be selfless, we need to be selfish… It seems counter intuitive, but when you break it down to the core, it unravels with truth. If you want to help other people, be your best-self, create strong bonds that provide fruitful opportunities, build a thriving business without burnout, etc… You must first work on yourself. For Yourself. By yourself. Life & people are going to get in the way, so you’ll need to set boundaries. You will become distracted & frustrated, so you’ll need to cultivate SELF-discipline. Other people’s opinions will cloud your judgement so you’ll need to ignore them. Other people will give you advice, but ultimately you need to do what’s best for YOU. In order to be selfless, we need to be a bit selfish…

"The ability to be vulnerable without showing your wounds"... It really hit me from a different perspective when Joy ( @oneripplejoy ) said this. I talk a lot about showing up (online and offline) as your full, authentic, unfiltered, whole-self. Which can be a scary, vulnerable place to be! The plot twist comes when we realize that our fellow humans are DRAWN to that. It's one of our greatest superpowers. Others are attracted to people (especially in business) who can be honest, personable, humble, questioning, or curious, and have humility within themselves along the way. Once you're ready to show up as your vulnerable, whole-self... then comes the "harder" part. Aligning your actions with your whole-self. I.e: Don't know an answer to a problem? Lean on the support system around you and be honest in letting them know you need their help. Aren't feeling clear or have an unsettling feeling about something or someone? Voice your concerns (respectfully of course) and be open to hearing others' opinions & suggestions. Q&A for ya: Is it hard to be vulnerable? For the longest time, I was walking through life with this mental "veil" that made it hard to stay sharp & enjoy life in the way that I wanted... It felt like I would grasp for the right words, jump from thought to thought, and it seemed like I was constantly trying to work harder to maintain focus than others. I just assumed it was because of my ADHD, but as time went on and I changed my daily habits... I was way wrong. When I changed my relationship with food, mindfulness, stress, work... that's when I began to feel more clear // sharp // focused // energized. As @maverickonlinecoaching lays out in our latest podcast episode together (#15); a lot of that brain fog and mental icky-ness can directly relate back to long-term poor nutrition, lack of sleep, stress, etc. 1) Audit your day: What are you consuming? (not just food). What is your activity level like? What triggers unpleasant sensations? How was your sleep? 2) Make some micro-shifts: Small changes in your day and in your habits that allow you to start bringing back that energy & liveliness that's always been inside of you...
