Happy September! I hope you are looking around your gardens and still enjoying blooms as the summer season is winding down. Last week we shared a very active bloomer right now, spotted bee balm. It is still full of bees at our house!

Today, we wanted to highlight one of the earlier blooming asters. Smooth blue aster is starting to show its' colors and it certainly is one to enjoy right now. The pale blue/purple blooms are such a welcome burst of color as other summer bloomers start to fade.
