π¨π»βπΎπ² Farm to Phone 9: 30 days, 0 vegetables, 99 pounds of meat...

Hello friends and farmers,
I've been quiet on this newsletter the past couple months. A lot of new folks have joined in that time, so if you're new here and this is your first time hearing from me, welcome!
This is a special edition of the newsletter, because I'm just going to share with you an article I started several months ago and finally published...
When I first moved to this farm back in March, I made one other big change: I went carnivore and started eating only animal-based foods. I did this for 30 days with the intent of recording everything I ate, how I felt, how I slept, even how much I pooped. There were a few big reasons I wanted to try the carnivore diet, and I learned some surprising things in my research and from the firsthand experience. All of that is lad out here: Can Eating Meat Be Good For You? And The Planet?
Be warned: it's a lengthy piece. About 5,700 words. It's based in heavy research and empirical data and raises some controversial questions and ideas that I think will start to become much more commonplace in the next few years.
So if you're looking for a break from all the Black Friday Cyber Monday deals hitting your inbox this weekend, you can read about my N=1 experiment here. Guaranteed that you'll learn something new about meat, plants, poop, or all of the above. Hint: fiber is a lie.

π₯ One more thing... If you're looking for a film to watch this weekend, the much anticipated Sacred Cow film has finally dropped! It's free to watch through November 30, so if you're at all interested in hearing a counterargument to the much hyped plant-based narrative, take advantage this weekend.
P.S. If you make it through my 5,737 words on meat, sleep, and poop, please let me know what you think! Agreements, disagreements, questions, errors, any feedback at all. I worked really hard on the research for that piece but am open to opposing evidence. I would especially love to hear from any vegan or plant-leaning folks if there are any on this email list.
P.P.S. I would say a happy belated Thanksgiving to all, but I'm learning more about how we Americans need to reckon with the realities behind this and so many other stories we tell ourselves. 2020 seems to be the year for bringing more of this to the surface. Here's a good primer on Thanksgiving from an Indigenous perspective.
P.P.P.S. For newcomers here, I'd love to hear how you found this newsletter or [my website](https://www.edlinbetsthefarm.com/) and why you signed up. Hit reply to let me know.
