In just our first month of working together, my client did this… 👇

This is while working a demanding construction job…


Consisting of long night shifts and working 5 days on, 5 days off.


When he messaged me this, I was over the moon.


So what did we change?


🚵‍♀️ We focused on the quality of the sessions rather than quantity.


Due to his work demands, prescribing a weekly workout every Tuesday for example just wouldn’t work. So we saved all of his sessions for his days off, so he could put all of his focus on cycling and not be too tired after a long stint at work.


🏋‍♀️ We scheduled cycling less:


My client's goal is to be leaner, more toned and more muscular. So we built in a complete body strength programme that can help him achieve this and benefit his cycling too.


🛌 Lastly, we prioritised rest to minimise fatigue.


Due to his heavy work demands, sleep was the number one priority. So not training during night shifts, just rest and recover.


On the days he can train, lower zone 2 sessions were planned to minimise fatigue, so when the hard sessions are scheduled, he can attack them to the fullest.


And the best bit, we have only just begun. 📈
