Not Putting on weight while on holiday.

Hey

What I did that prevented me from putting on tons of weight while enjoying my holiday…

After arriving home at the weekend from a week's holiday away in Corfu.

I was right backing the swing of training and weighed in at 68 kg. The same weight I was before going on holiday.

How was this possible when I had dessert each night and made the most of our 5-star half-board dining experience?

Portion control and nutrient-dense foods.

🥚Each morning for breakfast I filled up on loads of fresh fruit.

Topped off with some full-fat Greek yoghurt, some local honey, seeds and oats, plus some peanut butter.

After I had a pancake or crepe from the menu.

🥙Lunch, We enjoyed loads of fresh Greek Salads each day at a local restaurant while out hiking or exploring the amazing beaches.

🥗Finally, at dinner time I had another Greek Salad for starters.

A Mousska, lasagna or some fresh fish with some roasted vegetables.

Before, I shared a selection of the most delicious desserts I had the pleasure of tasting.

Plus, tonnes of water and no alcohol.

This was the routine for 7 days and I thoroughly enjoyed every second.

After each meal, I never felt stuffed or uncomfortable.

Plus, I didn’t feel guilty about what I was eating and enjoyed it.

It always amazes me how so many people return from their all-inclusive holidays a stone or two heavier.

I mean, you can enjoy all the treats you like, there is no need to eat like you won’t eat again for the winter.

I certainly feel that if you strike a balance between portion control and more nutrient-dense foods, there is no reason to not enjoy your dining experience while away on holiday and not gain weight.

How is this experience for you?

Do you come back heavier after your holidays?
