Today, I’m honored to share something deeply personal with you.

This journal was created for this season
for winter,
for slowing down,
for telling the truth about what you’ve lived through,
and gently naming who you are becoming.
It is the culmination of my work as a trauma therapist, resilience researcher, and Ghanaian woman who knows what it means to survive—and then choose something softer.
🌿 What This Journal Is (and Isn’t)
This journal is not about fixing yourself.
It’s not about becoming someone new.
It’s not about productivity or perfection.
It is about remembering who you were before the world asked you to harden.
Coming Home to Yourself is a guided digital journal experience designed to help you:
- slow your pace
- reconnect with your body
- release perfection and performance
- reclaim your story
- root yourself in wholeness
It blends research-informed insight, therapeutic reflection, and ritual-based practices you can return to again and again.
This journal is grounded in:
- my doctoral research on trauma, resilience, and wellness
- my clinical work as an EMDR trauma therapist
- and my personal journey of learning that resilience does not require suffering
Resilience, when rooted in connection, can be soft.
It can be nourishing.
It can feel like home.
The journal is structured around four intentional themes:

- Reclaiming Your Story
- Rooting in Wholeness
Each section includes:
- grounding reflections
- guided prompts
- emotional literacy support
- and space to integrate what’s rising, without rushing or forcing insight

- has done all the “right things” and still feels disconnected
- is tired of being strong in silence
