PICTURE: 📸
Missed you last week — life’s been nonstop! So here’s a reminder from my camera roll: stop, breathe, and smell the roses. During the hustle of life in CDMX, I caught my husband literally smelling this beauty, so I did what came naturally: I took a picture. 🌹✨
OPTIMISM: 💖
An affirmation (popular saying with bicultural resonance):
"Echarle ganas"
A common Mexican expression meaning “give it your all.”
It’s both a mantra and a pep talk, used daily across generations. Work it into your vocab this week.
COOL FIND: 🕵🏽♂️
LEGO just dropped a beautiful tribute to Mexican tradition with its new “Altar of the Dead” set, a 231-piece Día de Muertos build that’s equal parts toy and art.
One side features a vibrant skull decked with flowers, while the other reveals a mini altar complete with offerings and a floral arch. It’s a colorful, hands-on way to honor loved ones and keep the spirit of the season alive, no glue gun required. ✨ Available now at LEGO.com
HOMEWORK: 📝
Two-Language Affirmation: Write down one affirmation for yourself in English and then translate it into Spanish (or vice versa). Post it where you’ll see it every day. “I am enough” / “Soy suficiente.”
OTHER STUFF: 📢
