👋🏽 ¡Hey there, !

¡Feliz Friday! It's been a while, I took the holiday off without telling you, and am happy to report that a (surprising) handful of people reached out to make sure I was okay when they didn't get their Black Friday message from me! I'm flattered; in good health and high spirits, ready to give you another

P.O.C.H.O. Stuff Email

Algo bien for a fun Friday.

PICTURE: 📸

I rarely use the panoramic setting on my mobile device, so I whipped it out to practice while in Balboa Park with my mom:

I took a picture of the newly revitalized Botanical Building—restored to its original 1915 grandeur and infused with fresh, modern features. From lush plant life and a soon-to-be-completed romantic pergola to state-of-the-art lighting and interior misters, this iconic landmark officially reopens TONIGHT (during December Nights) welcoming visitors into a living masterpiece of history and innovation. I can't wait to see it in full bloom.

OPTIMISM: 💖

A short statement of truth:

"No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow." — Proverb

COOL FIND: 🕵🏽‍♂️

imageDo you like micheladas ? I may have been in a food coma or inebriated when I found Manu Villalobo's vid on the crazy world of micheladas.

Manu explains, "Mexicans have a name for everything, and micheladas are no exception. Depending on the area in Mexico, people have different names for certain preparations." Be sure to check out his newer video reel on MEXICAN PONCHE. just in time for las posadas.

HOMEWORK: 📝

It's food season, the perfect time to try a Global Recipe Swap: Team up with another family or group of friends to exchange holiday recipes from your respective cultures.

OTHER STUFF: 📢

I've previously said that the Pocho Stuff Email is a community update, and sometimes those updates are about and or from subscribers like you! In today's other stuff: Fan, follower, and fellow entrepreneur Gaby Madrid just launched a new product for cats - check out Cat Snappers Condo!!!

image

The stylish cardboard cubes can be purchased for the low price of just $25 and have an aesthetic far nicer than the old shipping box you keep forgetting to recycle. Pick up the condo kit for your kitty or as a Christmas gift for a loved one with a cat in the family.

¡Muchas gracias for opening and reading these emails. THANK YOU for keeping me around (I'm alive and well hope you are too). Have a fantastic weekend --let the holiday parties begin!
