PICTURE: 📸

I took a picture of this interactive exhibit from the Collective Manifestos series at Contemporary Blue Star, my newest art museum discovery.

The piece invites you in: grab a notecard, add your voice, become part of the work. Inspired by Claes Oldenburg’s I Am For an Art That, the artist asks us to reimagine our communities, education, the border, and even the future itself.

OPTIMISM: đź’–

As we close out Women’s Month, a reminder from one of Mexico’s most iconic artists:

“Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?”

— Frida Kahlo

COOL FIND: 🕵🏽‍♂️

imageBeen obsessed with these stunning portraits of charrerĂa culture from photographer Cooper Seykens.

Over four years, he’s captured the precision, pride, and heritage behind the tradition—with a visual style inspired by old-school wet plate photography that makes every image feel timeless. The details in the trajes, the posture, the presence… puro orgullo.

HOMEWORK: 📝

Find Your Next Museum 🎨 Take 2 minutes to search “museum near me” or “cultural center near me” and bookmark one spot you’ve never been to. No pressure to go this week—just plant the seed.

Fun fact: there are over 35,000 museums in the U.S., that's más que all Starbucks and McDonald’s locations combined. Culture is closer than you think—go find it.

OTHER STUFF: 📢

Padres Opening Day weekend is here, and Petco is stepping up its culinary art game. ⚾🌮 South Bay’s own Vanessa Paz caught up with Josh Momberg from the San Diego Padres to preview all the new food and retail drops for the season, because let’s be honest, the eats are my favorite part of the experience. jajaja.

From upgraded ballpark bites to fresh gear, it’s giving opening day energy in all the right ways. 👉 Click through to watch the full YouTube segment and plan your first game accordingly.

Whether you’re planning your next museum visit, heading to a ballgame, or just finding small ways to engage with art and community, I hope you keep showing up with curiosity and corazón. Catch you next Friday. 🎨✨
