PICTURE: 📸

I took a picture of a moss-covered trunk.

The city never ceases to amaze me with its natural ecosystem, I looked up while my pup handled business on our morning walk and noticed the vibrant greens that show strong signs of life in this mostly concrete jungle.

OPTIMISM: 💖

A quote in español:

"La naturaleza es el mejor maestro de optimismo, enseñándonos que incluso en los inviernos más fríos, la primavera siempre regresa."

Nature is the best teacher of optimism, teaching us that even in the coldest winters, spring always returns.

COOL FIND: 🕵🏽‍♂️

PUMA Mexico recently launched its Aguas Frescas collection. The sneaker company tapped into all-natural flavors like Jamaica, Tamarindo, Limón, and my favorite; Horchata --for color inspiration of the new suede collection. See em all and coordinate your outfits on the PUMAS Mexico website.image

HOMEWORK: 📝

Global Art in Nature: Take a nature walk and collect natural materials like leaves, flowers, and stones. Use these items to create outdoor art installations inspired by both Mexican and American cultural motifs. Share your creations with others online or in-person to spread joy and creativity! 🎨🌼

OTHER STUFF: 📢

Speaking of climate, a big GRACIAS to friend and POCHO Stuff supporter Gaby Madrid who reached out with a terrifyingly cool website and information. Ever wondered how much time we have left to avert the worst effects of climate change? Just us? The Climate Clock is a stark reminder.

image

This digital countdown, displayed in various locations worldwide, counts down the time remaining to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Created by climate activists in 2020, the Clock serves as a visual representation of the urgency of addressing the climate crisis. As the seconds tick away, it's a constant reminder of the need for immediate action to protect our planet.

You can make a difference by supporting organizations, companies, and leaders who are keenly aware of our impending doom and ademently work towards solutions. Learn more about the clock and see our current deadline here.

GRACIAS to you for opening and reading my emails. I'm greatful to have your attention at the end of each week! I hope you enjoyed today's POCHO Stuff Email. Let me know your thoughts on climate, the shoes, or anything else that might pop into your POCHO brain. See ya next Friday, have an amazing week.
