Hi ,
Does it ever feel like you're running in every direction at once? No? Just me? I'm not sure if it's the weather finally warming up or just this season of life, but everything seems to moving a million miles a minute. It's easy to get bogged down in the details of it all, especially if you're a Type A perfectionist. (Not that I know anything about that... 🫣)
But with spring just around the corner, I've been reminded how important it is to take a moment to slow down and find joy in simpler things, even just a walk in the sun. I'm always grateful when my wife persuades me to take a break and get out of the house for a moment and usually find I come back refreshed with new ideas to explore. What about you? What helps you take a step back or spark joy in your life?
If you're looking for inspiration, there's one idea I bet all of us here can get behind...
Be inspired by stories!
I mean, we are here because of our love for great books, after all. That's part of why I always try to share new authors, promos, and deals with you. But I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the last chance for those of you with KU to pick up my prequel before it's gone.
Wait, what was that? Last chance?
The Cataclysm, a gripping novella foreshadowing The Oathsworn Chronicles series (**and now a 2025 Realm Awards contender!**), is only available in Kindle Unlimited for one more week before it joins the lineup in Awakening's Kickstarter campaign in April. But as long as you add it to your library by March 17th, it'll still be there when you're ready. Don't miss out if you're wanting to delve into the world early!
If you're not a KU subscriber but still want to get in on the action, you can learn more and find all the ways to buy this tale of civil war, forbidden romance, dragons, blood magic, and choices with world-altering consequences on my website, or get it through the Kickstarter next month. Which leads to our next thing...
My way of saying thank you!
I've talked up the Kickstarter for Awakening, book one of The Oathsworn Chronicles, for a little while now, which is less than a month away. (Ah!) But outside of the shiny bells and whistles of a crowdfunding campaign, does the story itself hold up? I'd like to think so (obviously), but to be real with you, it's still a terrifying prospect baring this part of my life to the world. Having you here showing an interest means more than you know.
So rather than simply saying "thanks for sticking around," how about an exclusive, never-before-seen look at Awakening itself? 😊 Simply use the button below to get the first couple of chapters before anyone else. If what you read gets you excited for more, I hope you'll consider joining me on April 8th when the campaign goes live. No matter what, seriously, thank you for being here.
Want to support another author?
Something I really enjoy is highlighting other authors with stories that resonate with me, and hopefully you too. And there are a ton of amazingly talented writers out there. (Reader hearts, rejoice!)
A while ago, I met fellow fantasy author Patrick Johns through a promotion we ran together. I was fascinated with his story world from the moment things went south in his awesome short story leading into The Hoarding series. From the cast of characters to mysterious magic abilities (i.e., simultaneously cool and terrifying), I kept wanting to learn more. I definitely recommend taking a look at his prequel story if you're on the hunt for something fresh. 😊
New deals!
Looking to add a new book to your shelf? There are dozens of titles for any budget to check out here all through the month of March!

Because who doesn't love a free read? Several of the authors in this promo are unknown to me, which always gets me excited at the prospect of finding something totally unexpected to explore! What about you? ☺️
As always, happy reading!
