"I am 41 and have had a desk job and otherwise been sedentary for the last 20 years. Entering and training for a 4km swim to meet the race requirements has been a heady mix of rewarding, challenging, fun and somewhat life changing.

I've made friends at local outdoor swimming lakes, lost weight, improved flexibility, ... I realised about a month ago that I was going to be able to complete the swim which meant that I was able to relax and really enjoy the training and subsequently the race. I had a super time on the day which has really come across on the photos.

I'll be swimming with you again as soon as I can. I have started training for a long swim and am really hoping a 2024 Dyfi 13km will be a thing for me.
