Hello Sunshine!
So what's coming up?
It's the infamous Dyfi 13km swim (tide assisted) followed by a challenging trail run along the Wales Coast Path back to Aberdyfi. Proper journey racing, and the longest aquathlon in the world.
An exciting course with 6 swims and 7 runs, a total of 3.7km swimming and 13.3km running. With a swim heavy first half, and a run heavy second half, it's set to be an intriguing battle. Live coverage on Sky Sports (tbc).
Looking ahead to October we have The Cool Mile on Sat 28 Oct, limited places remaining.
Our last small group guided swim of 2023 is The Bridge 20km - book here.
We've also confirmed 2024 dates for the Hurly Burly 10km - book here.
OTILLO
Look out for Team WESWIMRUN (no. 56) taking on the OtillO Swimrun World Championships tomorrow. Mike will be racing with brother-in-law Paul Skipper. We are both carrying recent injuries (Mike - calf; Paul - ankle) so we have had to adjust our goal from sub-10hrs to just hoping/hopping to finish.
Best of luck to Ieuan Belshaw (our lead guide on The Welsh 3000s) who is taking on The Dragon's Back Race tomorrow. He's attempting to become the first person to complete the Cape Wrath Ultra and the Dragon's Back Race in the same year.
There's lots of our friends racing this weekend from IRONMAN Wales to one way Windermere, and everything in between. Best of luck to all.
Whatever you're doing we hope you have a great September.
