Hi everyone,

I hope you had an awesome week. I was a busy bee over the last several days. I won Nanowrimo, but the 2nd book in the Gemstone Massacre series is far from done (It'll probably take another 40-50k words to finish the draft). I also redid the cover art for the Love triangle story since it wasn't quite eye-catching enough, so here it is. Let me know what you think.

On the writing front, I hit 50k words for the Gemstone Massacre story and started chipping away at re-editing "Rose is Spellbound" and "Snow's Captive." I'm hoping to have the next chapter of "Snow's Captive" posted next week.

My behind-the-scenes look at my writing for this week is about mistakes and feedback. Inevitably you're going to get feedback as a writer. Some of them are about mistakes you made or plot holes you've overlooked. Others could be full-on troll comments. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by them all. I've always been given the advice of not to look at them at all, but that's never worked for me. So what do I do instead? I review the comments and see which ones are useable. If it's obvious something is a troll. If it has hateful speech, I check to see if it can be reported and if not I keep scrolling. I look at the positive and neutral ones and write down anything recurring when it comes to likes and dislikes and incorporate them into future books.

That's all I've got for you this week. I just have one more question for you.

Did anyone put up decorations for the holidays?

I was slacking this year. We usually put up a Chanukiah and some white and blue lights, but we didn't do anything this time around.

Have a great day and stay safe.

Sincerely,

Julia
