Life Keeps Interrupting You? Here’s a Gut-Level Truth You Need to Hear
May 02, 2025 5:06 am
Dear
I know it feels frustrating when you want to stay consistent - but life keeps interrupting you.
It can make you doubt yourself, like maybe you’re just not disciplined enough.
But here’s the truth:
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about being prepared for the imperfect.
And your gut and brain - they’re always in conversation.
When life gets messy and routines fall apart, your body feels that confusion first - through bloating, tiredness, brain fog, aches.
It’s not just stress - it’s your gut asking for tiny signals of safety.
So how do you stay consistent in a messy life?
By building small, realistic wins.
Here’s what I want you to try this week,
• One anchor habit a day.
Choose one thing that makes you feel in charge:
- A glass of lemon water first thing.
- 5 deep breaths before starting work.
- 10 minutes of slow stretching when you get time.
- Create a “minimum plan.”
Don’t plan a 60-minute workout. Plan a 2-minute stretch.
Don’t aim for perfect meals. Just add 1 extra veggie a day.
Small is powerful because small is doable.
- Accept that interruptions will come.
Consistency is not never falling - it’s getting back up, softer, quicker, kinder.
- Talk to your body like a friend.
When you miss a day, don’t say “I failed.”
Say, “I’m learning to show up again.”
Your gut listens. Your brain listens.
, here’s your little work for today:
Choose one thing you know you can stick to for the next 5 days - even when life is crazy.
(Even 2 minutes counts.)
