[TDM] How to market to the affluent

Feb 24, 2022 8:13 am

Hey there ,

Bet you thought I wouldn't show up right?

Well...

Can't say I blame you...

Truth though is I literally just woke up...

Thanks to Shola...one of our platinum members.

The workshop I told you about ran till pretty early this morning.

Anyways...

Today's the very last day And so I do have to run off again...

But not before sharing this with you...

If you know the formula for making gold, you don't have to carry a bag of gold around.

That thought was shared Fredrick yesterday...

And what he means is that if you understand how money is created...

You pretty much don't have to worry about it...

You can just simply create it when you want.

And money is pretty much a function of the value of the experience you create for people...

The value that you bring.

You are valuable to people to the extent that they value the experience that they have with you..

So the question is:

What value do you bring to your work?

What value do you bring to your family?

What value do you bring to your market place?

If you're having trouble in any of those areas...

It's very likely that what you think is valuable isn't really as valuable a you think in the eyes of the people affected by it.

Now...

When it comes to marketing to the affluent...

Here are a few key ideas to keep in mind...

Especially for those of us selling High ticket.

First...

There are more affluent people than ever...

You need to start with that understanding...

I fly business class and first class...

Not from an ego point of view but simply because the experience is far better...

When I started flying business class...

Very often...

You'd find empty seats....

These days even in the midst of a global pandemic...

I haven't found an empty seat in a business class flight in a while.

Second...

Affluent people want something good to put money into.

The problem with having more than enough money is more often than not...

You simply don't know what to do with it.

I know a woman who bought a $10,000 broom...

Smh...

It broke down 3 weeks later...

She bought another one.

And there are many people just like her...

Making those kinds of decisions simply because price isn't a consideration in their decision making...

Third...

And this is very important...

Affluent people deeply value education and self improvement...

And if you create these opportunities for self improvement using SolutionFrames™...

Typically what happens is you create predictable, result oriented experiences that you can get paid lots of money for.

Finally...

Affluent people want something that's exclusive...something that other's can't afford...

I don't care what else you sell...

There's absolutely no reason why you should have a $50,000 to a $250,000 offer tucked away somewhere...

Doesn't matter if you have buyers for it yet...

Just simply have it and be ready when the opportunity presents itself...

It's almost 2 years since I up the fees for working one on one with me to $50,000 a year...

Nothing happen the first year I moved my fees up...

If anything people laughed.

It took a year to get the first client...

But between then and now...

I've got eight working with me...now.

Purely on a referral basis.

Give yourself a chance....

Don't let small thinking keep in locked in small opportunities.

Get out of your own way.

Till tomorrow.
