Yesterday was pretty cool...

Spent the evening onboarding our current spanking new batch of challengers on the 97 day challenge.

At some point earlier in the day I did have a conversation with a Gold member of HPEN that became the inspiration for this email...

When it comes to the things that we want in our lives...

We have pretty much two options...

We can focus 100% on the results we want...

Or...

We can focus on things that lead to the results we want...

For instance..

A guy comes up to me and says he wants a car...

Then I ask why he doesn't have it yet...

And he says...

"I'm looking for money to buy the car"

Question:

Is it the money you want or the money to get the car?

See what I mean?

Another example:

A client once came to me an said:

"Sensei, I'm tired! I'm not spending enough time with my family and it's begining to affect my relationship with my wife and kids. I need to make enough money so I can pay someone to do some of the things I do that way I can free up some time to spend with family and also my personal development"

ME: “How much do you need?”

CLIENT: Mehn...I need like an extra N8million.

So I ask a number of questions and find out this guy spends 4hrs a day driving to and from his office 6 days a week.

ME: Well...an office in Ikeja GRA would cost you roughly N2million a year, that's less than what you currently pay in rent for your office on the island. If you moved to Ikeja GRA, you would reduce your drive time and have an extra 12 hours a week from drive time alone.

Plus you'd spend less for the office than you currently do.

Go through your expenses and cancel every single unnecessary recurring expense you currently have. Add them back latter only if you need them.

Result:

12 hours a week back 

N1million a month in recurring expenses and subscriptions eliminated.

N12million a year saved from waste and funds now available to hire a CEO. 

Got the time back without having to do more work or invest more time.

That's the difference between focusing on the result you want...rather than on the things needed to create the results you want.
